Sewing of ordinary zippers and invisible zippers

Time:2023-11-27 Views:1

Clothing accessories are very extensive and complex, with many varieties, and although zippers are only one of them, their role is enormous! For example, many boys often feel that they cannot showcase the taste and essence of men's clothing, but perhaps it is because the zipper is not properly fastened.

There are generally two types of zippers: regular zippers and closed zippers (commonly known as invisible zippers)

1. Ordinary zipper: There are two ways to install a zipper. One is to align the back center with the center of the zipper, and the width of the seams on both sides is equal. The other is to slightly press one side of the skirt over the other side to block the zipper. However, regardless of the installation method, it is required that the metal head of the zipper should be below the seam joint to avoid leakage. When in normal state, the zipper installed by both methods should not expose the zipper. The exposed thread should be straight, and the fabric on both sides of the zipper should be flat and smooth. The length of the zipper should be appropriate.

2. Invisible zipper: Generally, sewing machines use a wide presser foot that cannot be matched with invisible zippers. Therefore, a single foot can be used to replace it. When sewing, the zipper should be aligned first, and then sewn tightly before sewing.
