Zipper machinery is widely used in the sealing and bonding of soft packaging bags in industries such as food bags, clothing bags, and textile industrial products. It utilizes the characteristics of internal friction and lateral pressure of loose materials to ensure a stable state between material layers, forming a continuous overall flow under the action of the conveyor chain. The zipper machinery is mainly composed of a head section, a middle section, an optional section, a tail section, a conveyor chain, a feeding port, and a drive assembly.

Each type of machinery has different faults, and the pattern of zipper mechanical faults over time is called the zipper mechanical fault pattern. The mechanical failure of the zipper also has several stages.

The first stage is the early failure period, which refers to the early failure caused by design, manufacturing, storage, transportation, installation, and other reasons. High failure rate, but easy to troubleshoot.

The second stage is the normal operation period, also known as the random failure period. After running-in and adjustment, the failure rate gradually decreased and stabilized. At this stage, there are only sudden failures, with a generally low failure rate. This stage represents the effective lifespan of the zipper machinery.

The third stage is the wear failure period, where the failure rate increases due to wear, corrosion, and fatigue of the parts. At this point, repairing the machine and replacing parts that have reached their service life can extend its service life.
